Statement on Vote to Debate Health Care Repeal

Dustin Pugel | July 25, 2017

Statement by Dustin Pugel, research and policy associate, on the vote to debate health care repeal:

“The Senate just voted to start the clock on a vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Any of the health care repeal bills now up for deliberation would be the most damaging policy Kentucky has seen in recent memory. By just about any measure, Kentucky has gained the most from the ACA and so we have the most to lose. It is disappointing that Kentucky’s senators took a step toward cutting health care for half a million Kentuckians. Rolling back our recent health care successes would reverberate throughout the commonwealth and our economy.”
